This page will list (in order of decreasing popularity) the ten most frequently visited pages in the last 24 hours.

If a page is seen to be popular with other BMC users, it should encourage those who have not yet visited it, to go and see why it is getting so many visits.  Research into user experiences indicates that many browsers find recommendations from other users helpful in determining which pages they should also visit.  Furthermore this feature will encourage visitors, who have the time, to browse within the BMC and thus broaden their perspective rather than only dipping in and back out for specific knowledge or help.

This is a similar feature to Amazon.com's top ten most popular books feature designed to encourage the user to look at items that at first sight might not be their immediate first choice.
